President and Executive Director
David Jernander was a Master electrician for over 20 years before being called into ministry. He had a radical transformation after attending the Alpha course in the early 2000’s, after which he returned to school to finish a Bachelor’s degree from Crown College and a Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Seminary. After struggling as a student as a young person, David enjoyed great success in college and graduate school. At Crown College, he graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the honor program’s Crown Honor Key. At Bethel Seminary, David graduated Cum Laude and received the honor of being listed in Who’s Who among Students in American Universities & Colleges.
During his education, David initiated and ran the Celebrate Recovery program at Friendship Church for over 5 years. He counsels individuals and couples, teaches in the Alpha program and substitute teaches at the Believers’ Service at Friendship Church. David has been married to his wife Renee for 18 years. They serve together in Quest Discipleship Ministries, in addition to being Prayer Ministers and involved in the Freedom in Christ ministry at their church. They have no children, but do have two cats. David’s favorite Christian leaders and authors are Billy Graham, Charles Stanley, David Jeremiah, Chuck Swindoll, R.T. Kendall, and Neil Anderson.
Renee Jernander received a bachelor’s degree in Business Communication and a Master of Arts degree in communication, and has published one book. She has earned extensive experience in the health care industry over the last 15 years, including biopharmaceutical, health insurance, and managed care companies.
Renee is currently a Trustee Board member at Friendship Church, which has campuses in Prior Lake and Shakopee, MN. She is also a small group leader and a volunteer with Freedom in Christ ministries. In the past, she has volunteered at the women’s correctional facility in Shakopee, MN and has taught adults with developmental disabilities.
