Statement of Faith

First Things: God is the Creator, Provider, and Sustainer of all things seen and unseen; and that He spoke all of creation into perfect existence.  Adam and Eve were perfectly created in the image of God, and that all humanity is directly descended from them.
Word of God: The word of God is inspired and written by human authors, and that the word of God is inerrant in the original manuscripts.
The Trinity: One true God exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  All members of the Trinity are equal and divine in perfection, and work together in harmony with different responsibilities regarding creation, redemption, providence, truth, and judgment.
God the Father: God the Father is an infinite personal spirit perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, and He hears and answers prayers. He saves from the bondage of sin and death, and gives eternal life to all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
God the Son: Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and was born of a virgin.  Jesus had a sinless life, performed miracles, and taught Truth. He died to atone for the sins of mankind, was resurrected, and ascended into Heaven. He is constant in his unending intercession for His people, and will return to earth. It is only through Jesus Christ that a person can be born-again.
God the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment as well as to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer in Jesus Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide.
Regeneration: God created man in His own image. By sin man was separated from his Creator and condemned to death.  Those who repent and forsake their sin by believing solely in Jesus Christ as their Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become new creatures, delivered from condemnation, and are recipients of eternal life. There is salvation in no other name but Jesus Christ, and that we are saved by grace through faith in Him.
The Church: The Church is a living spiritual body of which Jesus Christ is the head and all believers are members. The local church, consisting of a body of believers in Jesus Christ, is baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work, and fellowship. God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost world.
The Ordinances: Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Christian Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water into the name of the Triune God. Jesus Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper for commemoration of His death.
The Last Things: Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return to earth, and His kingdom will be established. The body will be resurrected; there will be final judgment, including the endless suffering of the wicked, and the eternal life of the righteous.
